Federation University's Gippsland Campus is pleased to launch its Breakfast with Fed series in 2021.
The series provides the local community with an opportunity to learn about the significant work researchers at our Gippsland campus are undertaking, both locally and internationally.
At this first event for 2021, themed “Who’s the professor? Community knowledge for environmental benefit”, Associate Professor Wendy Wright and Dr Jess Reeves speak about how community engagement and partnership is informing the application of research in their fields of wildlife research conservation and environmental change in aquatic systems, respectively.
The presentations are followed by a panel discussion, where they are joined by West Gippsland Water Catchment Management Authority Project Officer and Federation University graduate Elsa Burnell and Gippsland Regional Manager of DELWP’s Natural Environment Program, Dr Lucas Bluff. The panel is chaired by Federation University’s Professor Erik Eklund.
This session was recorded at the Morwell Innovation Centre on Wednesday 23 June 2021.
